Levanta vs Amazon Creator Connections for Brands.

Amazon brands now have several ways to pay creators and publishers for sales: Amazon's own Creator Connections, third-party platforms built on Amazon Attribution, and the Brand Referral Bonus that offsets part of the cost. Here is how each one works, what it costs and when it fits.

In Levanta vs Amazon Creator Connections, the difference is control and cost shape. Creator Connections is Amazon's free-to-use campaign tool where you set a bonus commission and budget and any eligible Amazon creator can opt in; Levanta is a paid platform where you recruit and manage specific partners through Amazon Attribution links, which can also earn the Brand Referral Bonus. Many brands use both.

This guide is for brands selling on Amazon, roughly $5M to $500M in revenue, who want creators and publishers to send shoppers to their listings. We run programs for brands and we also publish on these networks, so we see both the brand dashboard and the creator side of each tool. For our Amazon work, see our ecommerce and Amazon service.

The Amazon affiliate options for brands.

  • Amazon Associates. Amazon's affiliate program for creators and publishers. Amazon pays the commission at fixed category rates; brands do not set or fund it.
  • Amazon Creator Connections. A brand-funded bonus commission on top of the Associates rate, run inside Amazon's ad tools for Amazon's own creators.
  • Amazon Attribution. Amazon's free measurement tags for off-Amazon traffic. Not an affiliate program on its own, but the tracking layer that third-party platforms use.
  • Brand Referral Bonus. A credit Amazon gives brands on sales driven by Attribution-tagged off-Amazon traffic.
  • Third-party platforms. Levanta, Archer and others that recruit partners, generate Attribution links, track sales and pay commissions.

How Amazon Creator Connections works.

Per Amazon's Creator Connections brand guide, you create a campaign with selected ASINs, a commission rate, start and end dates and a maximum budget. Eligible creators see it in their portal and opt in. You pay a bonus commission on qualifying sales their links drive, and creators keep earning their standard Associates commission on top.

  • Eligibility. Brands with a US advertising account based in the US, China or Hong Kong, as determined by the ad console business address, and registered in Brand Registry as the brand representative.
  • Access. Sellers find it in Seller Central under Advertising; vendors through the ads console under Brand Content. Admins may need to grant the Creator Connections permission to a user.
  • Minimums. Commission rate of at least 10%, campaign budget of at least $5,000, and a length of 30 to 365 days.
  • Scale. Up to 1,200 ASINs per campaign and up to 800 creators per campaign, first come, first served.
  • Creators. Must be at the Bronze tier or higher in Amazon's Creator Stars program.
  • Editing. You have 24 hours to edit or cancel before the campaign goes to creators; after that you can still edit the message and extend budget and end date.

The trade-off is control. In Amazon's words: "You cannot choose specific Amazon Creators for your campaigns." You also cannot remove a creator once they join, preview content, or ask a creator to take down a negative review. The guide says creators own their content; you may repost it on your social channels but cannot use it in paid marketing.

How Levanta works.

Levanta is a third-party affiliate and creator platform for ecommerce brands. You list products and commission offers, recruit creators and publishers through its marketplace or your own outreach, and partners get Amazon Attribution links. Levanta tracks the resulting sales, reports by partner and ASIN, and handles creator payments. Its pricing page lists automated creator payments and automated 1099 reporting and filing among its features, and it now also supports Shopify, Walmart and Wayfair.

In April 2026, Levanta announced it acquired Perch+, one of the earlier affiliate networks for Amazon sellers; Perch+ sellers and partners now run on Levanta's platform. Because sales are tracked through Amazon Attribution, they can count toward the Brand Referral Bonus, which Levanta's help center says shows in its dashboard once you have registered for the bonus with Amazon.

How attribution and payouts work.

The two models count sales differently, so their dashboards will not match each other or your Amazon business reports.

  • Creator Connections. The guide says sales are attributed to purchases made within 24 hours of a click on a creator's unique link, not to submitted content. Sales are finalized within 7 days after the campaign ends and exclude orders canceled within 72 hours or that fail payment. Amazon pays the creator through their monthly commission statement and bills you through the ads console.
  • Amazon Attribution platforms. Amazon Attribution uses a 14-day attribution window and reports clicks, detail page views, add to carts, purchases, units, product sales and new-to-brand metrics. Platforms such as Levanta pull these results, calculate partner commissions and pay partners, then bill you for commissions and fees.
  • Associates. Creators in either model are usually also Associates. Amazon pays the Associates commission separately, at its category rate, regardless of what you pay.

Amazon Attribution is available to sellers enrolled in Brand Registry, vendors, KDP authors and agencies working with them, in the US, Canada, Mexico and several European stores, according to Amazon Ads. Our guide to Amazon Attribution and the Brand Referral Bonus covers setup in more depth.

The Brand Referral Bonus and why it changes the math.

“"When sellers bring customer traffic to Amazon, they earn bonuses averaging 10% of sales of their products." (Amazon, sell.amazon.com)”

Amazon's Brand Referral Bonus page says the bonus is for sellers in Amazon's US store with a Professional selling plan and a brand enrolled in Brand Registry. You create an Amazon Attribution tag for each off-Amazon ad, link or button. The bonus varies by category and price, arrives as credits that offset referral fees on future sales after a two-month waiting period, and is not available for Amazon advertising. Returns and cancellations can change the amount.

An illustration, not a forecast: $50,000 a month in Attribution-tracked affiliate sales through Levanta's Gold plan costs $750 plus $1,750 (3.5%) in platform fees, plus $7,500 if you pay partners 15%. If your bonus rate came to 10%, Amazon would credit about $5,000 against future referral fees. Your actual rate depends on category, price and Amazon's rules, so model it from your own Attribution reports.

Other options: Archer, Associates and broader networks.

  • Archer. An Amazon-focused affiliate marketplace. Its site says brands set commission offers for 2,500+ affiliates and that all sales are tracked via Amazon Attribution. Pricing is not published; ask for it in writing.
  • Amazon Associates. Brands do not run Associates programs, but its rates shape creator behavior. Amazon lists fixed rates such as 3% for home, pets and toys, 4.5% for kitchen and 1% for health and personal care. Creators compare your bonus against that base.
  • Traditional networks and platforms. If you also sell on your own site, a network or platform for your direct site may sit alongside an Amazon tool. See how to launch an affiliate program for the direct-site build.

When each fits.

Confirm eligibility.
Check Brand Registry, your selling plan, ad account location and Attribution access. Without Brand Registry, most of these options are closed.
Start with Creator Connections if you want reach with no platform fee.
It fits brands with strong listings, enough inventory and at least $5,000 to commit, that are comfortable not choosing creators. Use it for launches, Prime Day and seasonal pushes.
Add an Attribution-based platform when you want control.
Levanta or Archer fit when you want to recruit specific publishers, negotiate placements, run partners across marketplaces, and earn the Brand Referral Bonus on tracked sales.
Model the all-in cost.
Add commissions, platform fees and samples, subtract expected bonus credits, and compare the result per new-to-brand customer against your allowable cost.
Review after one full campaign.
Compare new-to-brand share, total sales lift and cost per order across tools before scaling either one.

Mistakes agencies see brands make.

  • Launching Creator Connections on ASINs with weak listings or low stock; the guide warns it will not block a campaign on low inventory.
  • Setting the 10% minimum in a category where creators compare offers, then reading low uptake as a failed channel.
  • Forgetting that creators cannot be removed and content cannot be previewed, and running a campaign on a product with known review problems.
  • Using creator content in paid ads without a separate license.
  • Budgeting a Brand Referral Bonus without enrolling or without Attribution tags on every link.
  • Paying full commission on Attribution sales without checking new-to-brand share.
  • Comparing tool dashboards that use 24-hour and 14-day windows as if they measured the same thing.

What to measure.

  • New-to-brand share from Amazon Attribution and campaign reports.
  • All-in cost per order: commissions plus fees, minus Brand Referral Bonus credits.
  • Total ASIN sales and rank during and after campaigns, not only attributed sales.
  • Active partners with at least one sale per month, by tool.
  • Budget pace on Creator Connections, since a campaign ends when its budget runs out.
  • Downstream effects such as branded search and repeat purchase, which Amazon Marketing Cloud can help analyze.

If you are a smaller brand.

If $5,000 per campaign is a stretch, start with Amazon Attribution tags on your own social and email traffic to earn the Brand Referral Bonus, then add a small set of hand-picked creators through an Attribution-based platform. Levanta says it offers a plan for qualifying sellers under $3M a year in Amazon sales; ask what it costs and what it excludes.

When to bring in help.

Bring in help when nobody owns creator recruiting, briefs and samples each week, or when you run several tools and cannot tell which sales are new. An outsourced manager can run Creator Connections campaigns and a platform program side by side; see our guide to affiliate program management and OPMs. Theory Road runs this work through our affiliate and partnerships service; judge us on the same measures above.

Is Amazon Creator Connections free for brands?

There are no service fees, according to Amazon's brand guide. You pay the bonus commission you set, at least 10%, on qualifying sales up to your campaign budget, which must be at least $5,000. Charges are billed every 30 days through the Amazon ads console.

How much does Levanta cost?

As of November 2026, Levanta lists its Gold plan at $750 a month plus 3.5% of affiliate-driven sales for one marketplace, with custom Enterprise pricing and a separate plan for qualifying sellers under $3M a year in Amazon sales. Partner commissions are on top.

Who is eligible for Amazon Creator Connections?

Brands with a US advertising account based in the US, China or Hong Kong, registered in Brand Registry as the brand representative. Creators must be at the Bronze tier or higher in Amazon's Creator Stars program.

Can I choose which creators join my Creator Connections campaign?

No. Any eligible creator can opt in, up to 800 per campaign, and creators cannot be removed once they join. You can message creators who have accepted.

Does Levanta qualify for the Amazon Brand Referral Bonus?

Levanta tracks sales through Amazon Attribution, and Amazon ties the Brand Referral Bonus to Attribution-tagged traffic. You must register for the bonus with Amazon, have a Professional plan and be in Brand Registry.

How much is the Amazon Brand Referral Bonus?

Amazon says it averages 10% of qualifying sales, varies by category and price, and is paid as credits against future referral fees after a two-month waiting period. It does not apply to Amazon advertising.

What happened to Perch+?

Levanta announced in April 2026 that it acquired Perch+, and Perch+ sellers and affiliate partners now operate on Levanta's platform.

Should I use Creator Connections or Levanta?

Use Creator Connections for broad reach on Amazon's creator base with no platform fee and no say over who joins. Use Levanta or a similar platform when you want to pick partners, earn the Brand Referral Bonus on tracked sales, or work across marketplaces. Many brands run both.
